Connect with your students or your trainer
Almost everything two people do in Mislisha — homework, a live session, a look at someone's progress — needs a connection between them first. It is made once, by invitation, and either side can end it.
Send a request
Open the Teach tab. Under Students, on the Students and trainers card, select Send a request. Before you type an address, say which side you are on:
- I am a trainer — You teach, the other person is a student.
- I am a student — The other person teaches, you are a student.
The field under it then asks for Student's email or Trainer's email, and Send a request sends it. You are inviting somebody whose address you already know; there is no directory of people to search.
A request is not „adding a student": it states who teaches whom, and the other person answers that exact claim.
Answer one
A request arrives in the bell at the top of the screen, Notifications and Invitations, with Accept and Decline. Nothing passes between two people until somebody accepts.
What the list tells you
Under Students on the Teach tab, the Students and trainers card draws everyone you are connected to, in whatever state, under My students and My trainers. With nobody there yet it says You have neither students nor trainers yet.
- Your student or Your trainer — accepted, and everything is open.
- Awaiting confirmation — sent, and the other person has not answered. If the request is theirs to answer, the row says Respond in notifications.
- Awaiting parental consent — both people agreed, and the connection still does not exist, because a parent has to confirm it first. On the student's own device the row reads Awaiting parental consent — tap here and opens the place to put the parent's address in.
While a row is waiting, what it would offer is greyed out and says why — Available once student accepts, or Available once parent confirms.
The other person answers on their own device, so this list can be out of date without anything being wrong: pull it down to refresh.
Groups
Under Students, Groups opens Student groups, which is a way of giving the same homework to several students at once. New group makes one — an empty group says Group is empty. On a wide window the groups stand on the left and the one you choose on the right; on a phone a tap on a group opens it on a page of its own. The group offers Rename, Delete group, Add students and, per member, Remove from group. With none of them yet the screen says No groups yet.
What a trainer can do from here
An accepted student's row leads to Progress — what they have been set, what they have done, and how it went. That is its own page of this manual.
Ending it
Either side can end the relationship: End relationship on a trainer's side, End relationship with trainer on the student's. Consent that can only be withdrawn by one side is not consent, so both rows have it.
